I need some help please with kitchen colors as I want to change the look of my kitchen without paying out to replace the whole thing.
It is not really my walls that I am worried about but I have bronze faucets and cabinet pulls and I want to know if you think I can mix these with stainless steel appliances. I love the look of stainless steel but am not sure if it will 'go'.
My cabinets are dark wood effect and the walls are yellow.

I don't think I would mix them.
Brass fixtures and fittings and dark cabinets are quite a traditional or country look whereas stainless steel seems more appropriate in a contemporary kitchen.
I think you should either go the traditional warm color route - yellow, cream, brass, woody for example - or the more contemporary cool color route - blue white, stainless steel and so on.
For that reason, I don't think the two can be successfully mixed.
I love stainless steel too but it can look out of place in an older style room.
If you are keeping your brass fittings I would choose cream appliances and a cream and yellow kitchen window treatment to tie it all together.
If you like bold color, you could aim for a more Mexican look and introduce terracotta, red and orange and perhaps even accessorize with chillies.
Either way, with dark wood cabinets you need to be sure that you install adequate lighting.
