Pinkish Red Feature Wall
I have gorgeous dark olive green couch with studs in silver. I am moving into a new apartment that has light beige carpet and beige walls that I can repaint.
I have a nice big cozy chair upholstered in a Victorian type design with dark green flowers and pinkish red flowers on a black backround. What else can I do to bring these two pieces of furniture together.
How about a zebra rug? Also will a light pumpkin/tan colored walls work?
Andrea's ResponseUsing the
Behr ColorSmart tool you can build a color scheme palette based on the colors you already have and as you can see from the example here, it is actually a nice group of colors.
I would be reluctant to add in something as strong as a zebra patterned rug but would work on keeping the colors you already have.
I would suggest you consider painting a feature wall in the pinkish red you have in your chair and also a couple of plain pinkish red cushions for your main sofa to bring it all together.
A light pumpkin or tan would work well for the remaining walls or you could leave them beige if the room is quite small or needs extra light.
