What Colour Carpet Do You Suggest?
Strawberry Pink Bedroom
My daughter's room is bright pink.
What colour carpet do you suggest we get to complement the room?
Andrea's ResponseA lot will depend on your attitude toward colour.
I am not a big fan of neutral colour carpet generally but you may feel that the room needs toning down a little if it is very colourful.
If that is the case, you may wish to consider a natural wood or laminate flooring as seen in the picture above. If you are concerned this may seem cold you can add rugs.
My own teenage daughter's bedroom has quite a lot of bright pink but this is teemed with black and white to give a more 'grown up' look. Her carpet is black which looks really good - as long as you don't mind getting the vacuum out on a very regular basis!
If you have any metal objects in the room - door furniture, light fittings etc. - silver or chrome is a much better option than gold and for that reason you may also like to consider grey. Not as harsh as black but quite a classy look which will also suit the room when the day comes when your daughter is finished with her pink phase and wants to redecorate.
